“A stop at the half-way house will give opportunity to consider the hole to come. Hit enough club to carry onto the green, which is surrounded by bunkers and has a treacherous slope to the left. Any miss and the outcome is uncertain”.
Another great Par 3 requiring a good tee shot. The wind tends to swirl around in this corner of the course, so working out the strength and direction is important to get the right club, with danger all around the green.

Changes to the course took place in the late 1960's with advice from Henry Cotton and it is currently being updated by Ken Moodie, to help the course stay abreast of modern day equipment whilst remaining loyal to the original concept. The Sand Moor Golf Course is an 18 hole Championship course, measuring 6,360 yards, consisting of three Par 5's, eleven Par 4's and four Par 3 holes.
