Junior & Intermediate Section

For many years Sand Moor has been renowned for its success in developing young golfers. This has led directly to the Club's Senior Team successes at regional, national and occasionally at international levels, and to the emergence of a number of prominent amateur and professional golfers.

Such success is no accident. The Club continues to develop its coaching schemes with the introduction of regular competitions for young golfers of all ages and abilities and a comprehensive coaching scheme which includes coaching days during school holidays and subsidised coaching vouchers for one-to-one lessons with our team of PGA qualified professionals.

In addition, at the age of 18 years onwards until 24 years, financial assistance is provided in the form of graduated rates of subscription to help these young adults adjust. As with adult subscriptions the subscription may be paid monthly by a direct debit arrangement with the Club.

In 2008, the ‘Sand Moor Future Masters’ will be held on Monday, 4th August. This event attracts outstanding young northern based boy golfers in two age groups and for several years now has incorporated an equally challenging tournament for girls, the ‘Sand Moor Girls’ Salver.
